I co-lead a team for the flagship projects at M.M. Hayes. I work on the technical and functional specifications. I work with customers, the sales team, the implementation team, and the help desk in order to efficiently manage new feature development alongside resolving production issues for existing customers.

I worked as part of a team to develop the frontend, backend, and kitchen display system for a corporate environment point of sale system. I worked with other developers, our quality assurance team, and our implementation team in order to work on new features and resolve existing defects.

I worked as part of a team that implemented the first completely wireless Tensegrity robot. Part of my work involved building upon prior research to find and implement more effective methods in finding different morphologies for a Tensegrity robot. Other parts of my work involved building upon an existing Python codebase which implements Bayesian Optimization in order to find effective gaits for its motors allowing the Tensegrity to move.

I was in charge of maintaining the Computer Science Research Lab, and ensuring that it remains in a condition suitable for research to be conducted in. I liaised with the professors and students to resolve any potential issues or problems that were raised by either party, and to guarantee that all equipment necessary to carry out research is available. I also helped other students to troubleshoot and carry out their research projects as necessary.

I continued work on an existing research product with an existing codebase developed in C. Previous work had implemented checking for a Uniquely Solvable Puzzle (a matrix where the individual components - i.e. set of matching numbers - of a row cannot be swapped with any of those in another row without causing overlap). My work was then in searching for Uniquely Solvable Puzzles. Using C and the Gurobi library, I implemented A* Search along with multiple heuristics in order to help search for Uniquely Solvable Puzzles more quickly and efficiently. The overall goal of this research was to improve the time taken to multiply two matrices.

I helped prepare and conduct research as part of the Social Robotics Laboratory at Union College. I used Python and the Robot Operating System to implement custom interactions between a robot and humans, including movement and speech, with specific goals for each interaction. I made a graphical interface which showed numbered potential approach targets, and allowed the user to either automatically approach targets or to approach a specific one by choice. I conducted initial experiments using the interface before handing the experiment over to other students to conduct more.

On morning shifts I prepared food for the coming day's soups, salads, and other meals. I would also rearrange the food, either to accommodate for an incoming delivery or to ensure that each station was fully stocked for the coming day. On lunch and dinner shifts, Rathskeller was a diverse and fast paced environment to work in. I primarily manned the grill and fulfilled all the relevant orders, but would also help out on other stations as and when needed. I would end evening shifts by preparing the food for safe storage overnight, and would clean the the kitchen and restaurant, including thorough cleaning of the grill, mopping the floor, and cleaning dishes as needed.

I rotated roles within the fast paced environment depending what was needed at any given moment. When working the front desk, I would quickly retrieve packages for students, would help them in opening their mailbox, or would assist them in sending out letters and packages. At other times I was responsible for rapidly sorting and scanning packages in order to alert students that their packages had arrived. I would also spend time delivering mail, taking letters and packages directly to faculty on campus.

I updated and improved pages on the website to provide more informative and up to date information. I sent out communications to customers, and helped begin initial communications with potential clients. I found new resources and implemented them for use in a variety tasks, and helped document them for further use by other employees.

I assisted customers in choosing the right laptop or computer for them according to the set of needs and requirements they set out. I would also help them in finding and choosing any other peripherals or accessories they might need. I would provide support to some customers, and help other customers with general technical problems.
