My job was to understand the complex business needs of my customers and translate them into actionable solutions. I oversaw the process from discovery, planning, design, and leading a team of engineers through implementation. I was primarily focused on data center networking, cloud, storage, virtualization, and automation. As a member of the Technical Leadership council I took an active role in setting the technical direction for ePlus.

I served as the architect for the systems of Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. I was responsible for the Systems, Storage, and Network Infrastructure. My job was to implement solutions for Chesapeake's 4000+ Users. I worked on projects including storage, network, data center, VDI, Single Sign On, and virtualization. My team worked extensively on ironing out vendor issues with the core application. We implemented a monitoring/reliability framework that has exposed countless bugs in the application and increased the reliability of the application.

I serve as the technical manager and infrastructure architect for a credit union worth around 1.6 billion dollars. My network services over 160,000 members with facilities spread out though a geographical region of around 700 sq. miles. My role is to engineer solutions, plan, organize, and manage staff and overall operations as it pertains to the organization's IT infrastructure. This includes core data center services and distributed branch services. Through careful planning and engineering I have been able to implement a fault tolerant and highly available architecture that supports 24x7 operations.

As a City Department Head, I was responsible for the technical direction/ IT budget for the City of Franklin. I architected fault tolerant infrastructure that supported mission critical systems such as 911 dispatch and electrical distribution. At the time, my network included around 1,300 workstations, 600 VOIP phones, and 1,800 users.

I was responsible for all networking and systems infrastructure in Franklin City Public Schools. My team and I developed solutions and implemented new technologies to drive the reliability and scalability of the school system network. To keep up with the need for ever increasing technology in the classroom I implemented a 10 Gbps WAN and rewired all buildings to support 1 Gbps speed to the desktops. I implemented next generation Workstation management technologies to secure and manage over 1,000 desktops.

I was responsible for the systems architecture and service delivery to all teachers and students. These duties included the distribution of hundreds of applications and computers to satisfy increasing demand. My systems streamlined workstation provision and allowed us to run the IT department with fewer staff members than was previously required.I was also selected to administer a Cisco Networking Academy for Franklin City Public Schools. As a Cisco Certified Academy Instructor, I prepared my students for the Cisco Certified Network Associate exam, and many were able to become competent networking professionals. This experience has benefited me to this day in the ability to break down and explain complex technological subject matter to people of varying abilities and backgrounds.
