I am the Chief Marketing Officer for iGuard Home Solutions, Inc.My professional background includes experience as a senior level executive with marketing ,data analytics, new business development, brand development and communications in both the “for profit” and “non-profit” sectors. iGuardStove is a Hardware enabled SaaS (HeSaaS) solution that was designed to allow seniors to age safely in place while maintaining an active daily lifestyle. It provides a safe cooking environment for them by intervening when there is a forgotten or unattended cooking event caused by distractions, physical handicaps, or cognitive issues. Versus other solutions,iGuardStove uses proximity sensors and smart technology to alert users that their stove was left on with visual and audio signals and then initiates a stove shut off if the users does not return. This protocol is unique to the marketplace versus alternative solutions that either suppress or shut off the stove after a fire has started. As the incidence of living alone (especially among women) cooking more often at home, being more affected by memory issues and more susceptible to serious injuries or death from fire increases for those 65 and older, iGuardStove’s non-intrusive solution stands ready in the kitchen 24/7 to monitor stove activity, remind users of their activity and step in to shut off the stove if the threat of fire due to inattention becomes eminent.
