As Director of Engineering, he oversees the design and development of conveyor belting used in the food industry. He has worked with USDA FSIS to design conveyor belting approved for food processing and worked with NSF to get the Ashworth “Advantage” line of belting certified, which was the first turn curve/spiral belting certified by NSF. This experience has given Jonathan familiarity with both FSIS and NSF requirements as they pertain to conveyor belting for food processing equipment. Jonathan is also a trained BISSC inspectorAt Ashworth, Jonathan is responsible for product design specifications, material specifications and in-process quality. Jonathan has developed the majority of the specifications used in the manufacture of Ashworth conveyor belts. He is very familiar with the writing of standards that are clear and precise and has a strong understanding of materials.Working within the food processing industry, Jonathan has had the opportunity to work with many different equipment manufactures and food processors worldwide. This experience has given him the understanding of the requirements of the entire process stream beginning with the regulatory agencies, equipment manufacture, processing and ultimately the consumer.
