Living a longstanding dream of owning our own farm, my wife and I found this beautiful spot in August 2020 and moved in October 2020. We have spent the last two years clearing invasive species en masse, clearing old dilapidated infrastructure, rebuilding that infrastructure, updating our home, and building all sorts of brand new infrastructure, while raising our flock of sheep. We have transformed this farm into something we can live and flourish on, where our children have the room to grow and learn. As we continue to scale we are quickly approaching break even in our operations, with our primary products being fruit, vegetables, sheep wool, sheep milk products, and other sheep byproducts.

Machitia is an online platform that allows teachers to share their experiences and lesson plans with other teachers that are members of Machitia. I helped build Machitia remotely with a team of other developers. While working on Machitia I was responsible for building the user interface for the instant messaging application and the lesson plan sharing features. In order to implement these features I utilized React.js, Material-UI, Formik, for the user interface, as well as Yup for form validation. I then built the client service layer in Javascript and Axios. I then built the web API controller and service layers on node.js/Express server, with an mssql data layer and Joi for data validation. The service layer then interfaced with SQL server stored procedures and normalized tables that I designed and built. I also utilized Postman REST Client to test my web API. I was a full-time Full Stack Developer student of the Sabio Full Stack Developer Bootcamp. We utilized React.js, Express.js, Node.js, SQL, Javascript, and Git to build a web based social network for a client.

Standocs.com is a web platform designed to reduce the cost of any type of information transaction by providing the highest quality of standardized document templates and version control/documentation across industries. As the founder I have conducted primary industry research, developed a go-to-market strategy, a business plan, and revenue targets. I began development of the platform in early 2020 but have taken a some time to assess the impacts of the global health crisis on my go-to-market strategy. Since summer 2020 I have resumed development of the initial release of Standocs and am aiming to launch the program in early 2021.

What was supposed to be a stepping stone from the Marines to a good job has now become a huge opportunity for personal growth. I am not sure where I am going to wind up after this, but I will definitely be better prepared for whatever route I choose.

As an Ordnance and Electronics technician I was tasked with a broad range of supply chain, operations, and technical responsibilities. My service took me all over the world, and now I am thankful to be home in Minnesota.

This was an amazing company with founders that are all successful today. At Ohm we developed a few products, with one successfully launching in the marketplace. To achieve this I coordinated the work of several Sillicon Valley heavy hitters as well as a small team of developers based out of India. As a part of this I also took the feedback of these developers to assist in planning for future projects and funding requirements. Overall though, my role was to see the big picture and translate that into a path of least technical resistance for the company.

Working within an urban Native American community, I worked with students and parents to position themselves for educational success. As a summer position this meant engaging with families through field trips, summer learning initiatives, data gathering, and school supply drives.
