Performs special procedure examinations in MRI in accordance with departmental policy and procedures, observing safe MRI practices. Duties include receiving and completing requisitions, entering relevant data into the radiology information system, preparing examination trays and patients for specific procedures, operating computerized imaging equipment including processing and archiving of acquired data, monitoring patient during procedures, and monitoring equipment performance. Plus additional knowledge of research process and methodology, PACS/radiology information systems, i.e. digital imaging, image archiving and retrieval. Communicate (orally and in writing) and deal effectively with clients and their families, coworkers, physicians, other health care staff, and staff of external agencies. Work independently and in collaboration with others, plan and establish workload priorities.

2009-2014 CAMRT Journal MRI Associate Editor 2009-2014 CAMRT Research Grant Committee Member During the last decade of my volunteering with Journal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences Editorial Board (www.jmirs.org) and the last four years as the MRI Associate Editor, I coached quite a number of RT students, guiding them to move beyond case study to clinical and scientific research and eventually submitting manuscripts to journal for review, making necessary improvement so as to meet publication standards. It's an extremely invigorating and fulfilling experience in witnessing many technologists going the extra mile in their profession and ultimately becoming mentors for the younger generation of RT's.

Retired after 20+ years of teaching MRI Technologists in Canada .......Since 1995, Jonathan had been working as the lead faculty member of the RRC/NRC-IBD MRI/S Technologist Program and affiliated scientist of NRC-IBD. In, 2001, Jonathan was appointed to the CAMRT Editorial Broad and has been very active in the MRI community, assisting Canadian graduates to gain international recognition and election to governing board of MRI technologist associations such as the Section of MR Technologists (www.ismrm.org) (e.g. Marcia Gervin, 2002-2005 SMRT Policy Board Member, second Canadian elected and first from west of Quebec, & Steven Shannon, SMRT Education Committee member since 2004). Since 1995, Jonathan had served on RRC's Internet Advisory Committee, which had formulated many college Internet Policies and also assisted in developing the college and MRI/S training program web pages.In addition to teaching duty at the college, Jonathan had served on the CAMRT Journal editorial board committee (http://www.jmirs.org/edboard) for the last 10+ years and as the MRI associate editor 2010-2014.
