It was an internship at Voice of America and my constant enthusiasm for the news that guided my desires to write and be a journalist. At VOA, I got the opportunity to improve my skills in news production and writing through editing stories, soundbite translation from Cantonese to English and vice versa, as well as going to press conferences and pitching new story ideas.That internship led me to pursue further studies in journalism at the University of Hong Kong where I received a Masters in Journalism in 2007. The degree helped me hone my skills as a reporter, but more importantly, it reaffirmed my love for writing and journalism.After Graduation I was a sports reporter for the news department at local TV station ATV. I selected, wrote, voiced and edited my own stories, both local and international, before they aired. The job left me wanting more, especially in terms of producing not only sports stories, but news stories as well.In March 2008, I joined Turner Broadcasting Inc.'s Interactive Department as a content developer and a copywriter. My job required me to write, edit and manage web content for various Turner properties, including CNN, Cartoon Network, Turner Classic Movies and Warner Bros. My job also required me to stay on top of viewer trends and find the best ways to promote the Turner brand to the public.Most recently I took full reigns of a music and and recording studio I own in central. As a musician myself, I found that Hong Kong lacked a quality place where people could let their musical aspirations grow. With the opening of This Music Studio, I hope to be able to provide that service to Hong Kong.My personal interest in photography also plays a big role in my aspirations. Over the past 10 years, I have worked as a photographer for concerts, documentaries and other various events. Most recently, I was part of the team of official photographers for the Hong Kong International Film Festival in March 2009 .Specialties: internet research, writing, quick thinking, ability to talk to others, music, internet use, macintosh and pc proficient.
