Responsible for the leadership and strategic direction of all front-end commercial teams within the UK IG business, this includes all external business develop managers, account managers and inside sales team members. Key focus areas for the role are the development and execution of the MCL IG (UK) sales and business development strategy, the formal process for new business diversification and growth, structured activities for new lead generation and opportunities management, forecast accuracy and the sales order bookings management process.The head of sales and business development role is part of the business leadership team, setting the objectives and direction for the business and communicating this direction to the wider entity group.

Management of the product engineering team for the Moog industrial group Tewkesbury.The P.E department is solely accountable for the technical integrity of all productionised and serialized products manufactured within the entity.Management and co-ordination of the team to drive improvements on build costs, assembly & test methods, documentation, supplier quality and delivery as well as ensuring significant operational improvement initiatives are driven through to completion.Management of the team to allow for successful product handover from Engineering into the A&T environment, using tools to allow for smooth transition, ease of assembly and training of all personnel involved in the build and test processes.Implementation, management, tracking and review of a series of key metrics to ensure the stability of all products manufactured and released for shipment to our customers.Day to day support and direction for the engineers within the team, managing succession and personal development plans to grow and deepen the abilities and prospects of all personnel.Full project management responsibility for key projects within the operations group, ensuring successful completion with the correct level of engagement from core team members outside of the Product engineering team.As part of the senior management team and operational management team for the entity, significant input is given to help drive the day to day running and future of the business.

Full project management responsibility for new purpose built facility for Moog industrial group in Tewkesbury. 43,000 sq ft. purpose built facility including 20,000 sq ft. office accommodation over 2 floors and 23,000 sq ft. state of the art production environment. Pulling together internal project team and external consultants to manage the project through all key stages; from specification development, developer discussions, legals sign off, construction monitoring, move management through to full Moog occupancy. Overall Responsibility for all elements of the project including: project stakeholder reporting, strategic reporting to all internal staff, financial management and team management.
