Jonathan Lewis is a banker, chartered accountant and charity chair. He is the Chairman of Nomura Financial Products Europe, Instinet Europe and Nomura Reinsurance. Since 2008 Jonathan has held a range of senior positions within the Nomura Group, leading the European businesses and leveraging his investment banking knowledge to drive innovation and transformation across the Group.For over a decade Jonathan was the Head of EMEA, CEO of Nomura International plc and a member of the Group Executive Committee. He also served as Group Transformation Officer, Group Chief Administrative Officer and was previously Group Co-CFO based in Tokyo. He was a member of the Chancellor of the Exchequers Financial Services Advisory Board and The CityUK Advisory Board. Jonathan started his career in professional services as a Chartered Accountant with PwC before moving to the Financial Services sector, joining Bear Stearns in 1995. He has lived and worked in London, New York and Tokyo. Away from professional life Jonathan is Chairman of The Outward Bound Trust, a charity that helps inspire young people to realise their potential through learning and adventure in the outdoors.
