I was the PM Manager for the site and as such I was responsible for all the aspects of maintaining the system running and backlog of jobs and KPI’s.I was the Management System Stream Manager for a new concept that was being introduced which was CAMPF (Cogent Asset Management Protection Framework) which highlighted the areas of manufacturing improvement for the business, these areas were Planned Maintenance Stream, Failure Analysis Stream and the Management Systems Stream. Also a craft team of 30 electrical and Mechanical personnel made up of Corus employees and on site contractors.Constant liaison was carried out with production managers and quality managers to maintain the processes to the highest standard possible.Managing of the engineering budget for annual contracts, statutory requirements and the maintenance contracts for the whole of the Whitehead site.Due to the second re-structuring of the two businesses that made up the Whitehead site, I was responsible for the manufacturing aspect of the Whitehead Cold Mill as well as the engineering aspect. This was for the Cold Rolling of narrow strip and the Slitting of narrow strip from 6mm - 0.4mm gauge and 410mm - 20mm wideI also had input into both businesses regarding the move of the Whitehead site to the Llanwern site.
