Lead Welding Engineer - Workshop Management
Current• Coordinate workshop activities with workshop leaders (from beveling to NDR, 5S cleanliness inside and outside workshop, safety including safety visits, report near misses, work risk assessments...).• Lead a team of engineers and technicians for the process and quality improvement initiatives.• Prepare monthly workshop cost analysis.• Coordinate with Maintenance Team Leader to ensure all welding stations are prepared intime for official activities and maintained in good working condition.• Coordinate with QC welding Lead to ensure all equipment have valid calibration• Mentor any new personnel involved in welding activities in workshop to strive forexcellence with Safety and customer mindset.• Lead to define, establish, implement and upgrade existing welding and testing processesand procedures.• Prepare technical report identifying result of development trouble shooting and preventive maintenance investigation.• Collect, analyze and report production and quality for assigned projects. Take immediate actions to inform and address production issues related to welding, equipment and personnel.• Identify and implement opportunities for continual improvement to include increasingsafety, quality, productivity, product flow and reliability through innovative solutions• Work toward continuous improvement in the workshop by promoting / actively working on 5Simprovement and CIT• Work toward incident free culture by performing safety visit, report near miss incidentand perform regular WRA review and safety visits.
