My journey and passion in technical training began as a summer intern with Reuters in Tokyo, Japan. My assignment was to create a user guide for the Reuters Effix Trading Desktop, at the time it was an advanced monitoring tool for the financial markets. I joined Reuters after graduating university, initially in New York and then Chicago in technical support roles, and later represented Reuters America back in New York as the technical instructor for Reuters Transaction Products. It was very rewarding to use information i had gathered from experience, to quickly learn new technologies, and then simplify that information to various audiences. That experience led me to Sun Microsystems where I specialized in teaching Solaris administration and enterprise server administration such as the E10K and 15K servers. Specializing my skills as a subject matter expert, earning certifications in Solars administration, Solaris security administration and Solars network administration so that I could enable clients, and team members, to better manage their environments became my next rewarding passion. I taught the full Solaris curriculum, with Solaris Performance Management being my favorite as it allowed me to deep dive into kernel theory and function.Now with 20+ years of specialized experience in the IT field at both VMware and Sun Microsystems, I've honed my skills as a seasoned VMware Certified Instructor, focusing on cloud infrastructure, virtualization, and automation. Earned VCIX (VMware Certified Implementation Expert) in both DCV and CMA. At VMware, my mission aligned with delivering cutting-edge technical education that empowered clients and team members. My commitment to excellence and continuous improvement echoed VMware's dedication to innovation. My expertise in private cloud infrastructure and virtualization administration is not only my profession but also my passion. I am proud to have contributed to the broader tech community.My role was pivotal in educating and upskilling individuals in the latest virtualization and cloud management technologies, including VMware's vSphere, vSAN, and Aria Automation. My responsibilities extend to optimizing IT environments and designing solutions that enhance operational efficiency. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for troubleshooting, I've successfully imparted knowledge that enables professionals to excel in the dynamic landscape of cloud computing.While my current passion has been VMware, I look forward to new challenges - learning exciting new tech and showing it to all who are interested.
