Jonathan’s design, construction, managerial experience and hands-on practical abilities give him the skills necessary to manage private estates and property portfiolios for foreign owners. Hospitality has characterised a large portion of Jonathan’s life; organising events, managing venues and being a host. This has been expressed in running community events, London exhibitions, catering for weddings and celebrations in the United States. After relocating to France, Jonathan has been an estate manager & host at a beautiful water mill in Brittany and a property manager for a weddings venue near St Emilion in South West France.Jonathan was raised in Devon, England and began his career following the family line in the building industry, with an emphasis on design and management. His talents led him into the field of computer aided design, working with Apple computers in the 90’s and into furniture design and manufacture in the early 2000’s. After purchasing land in Virginia in 2002, Jonathan, with his wife & children emigrated to the USA in 2004 to develop an English Oak framed house design and build company. There, Jonathan qualified as a Class A Building Contractor and his timber frame designs won awards. The Loys moved to France in 2011 to manage a renovated water mill as a gîte and chambres d’hôtes business which they had purchased with friends in 2001. Jonathan qualified as a French artisan working as a carpenter and joiner. In 2015, Jonathan & his wife Susi, moved to the Bordeaux region to be involved with management, renovations and providing first class hospitality at châteaux.
