  I have conducted the following commercial litigation in the Supreme Court of New South Wales and Court of Appeal: (1) Golden Destiny Investments Pty Ltd & Ors ats David Alan Thomson & Ors [2015] NSWSC 1176 (Proceedings No. 2014/228930) - successfully defended against proceedings brought by former joint venture partner in a property development deal worth more than $15 million and cross-claimed my client's former solicitor for professional negligence. (2) Ke Qin Ren v Hong Jiang; Yi Cheng Jiang v Wan Ze Property Development (Aust) Pty Ltd (in liq) [2014] NSWCA 388 (13 November 2014) - successfully appealed the summary judgment made by primary judge against my clients and obtained indemnity costs. (3) Ren v Jiang (No 4) [2014] NSWCA 315 (10 September 2014) - successfully dismissed a security for costs application and obtained indemnity costs against the applicant. (4) Yuan v Xie [2015] NSWSC 492 (1 May 2015) - successfully applied for the monies paid into the Court by the mortgagee be paid out to my client pursuant to UCPR r55.11. (5) Commissioner of the Australian Federal Police v Fu [2015] NSWSC 686 (2 June 2015) - successfully applied to extend time to file and serve affidavit. (6) Wang v Shu [2014] NSWSC 1463 (24 October 2014) - successfully applied to have the liability issue be determined separately from the question of quantification of the damage pursuant to UCPR r28.2. (7) Rongsheng Yin and Yindi Xu ats HSBC Bank Australia Limited (Proceedings No. 2012/370059) (settled) - defended bank possession claim and settled a claim against the bank for unauthorised transfer of $400,000. (8) Tam v Tang [2013] NSWSC 708 (5 June 2013) - successfully defended claim on the deceased's estate. Classic case in which the defence of laches applies. (9) Wei v Chen [2012] NSWSC 751 (6 July 2012) - successfully applied to have monies paid into the Court be paid to my client.
