Key Responsibilities:• Managing and delivering Museum capital construction projects according to defined project management standards, from inception to completion and final handover to the Client. • Project and resource planning• Budget management• Quality assurance• Risk management• Stakeholder management• Compliance with all internal and statutory processes, gateway procedures.• Supporting the work of specialist project teams including personnel from the Capital Projects & Estates and/or specialist teams and third parties charged with project delivery. • Coordinating client and other stakeholder activities in support of specific projects, developing strategies to ensure buy in to deliverables and timetable.• Specific responsibility for the Museum’s programme of gallery projects and small infrastructure projects.• Managing delegated gallery projects ensuring that the development of the design and interpretive aspects of the project are fully integrated into the rest of the project development process and that the internal and external teams work in support of each other. The achievement of the specification, and standard of quality of the installation is the responsibility of the Client Project Manager• Ensuring appropriate internal and external resources are available at all stages of the projects• Day to day budgetary responsibility for projects • Ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements including listed building consents.• Ensuring compliance and due consideration with all Museum procedures and guidelines including the Museum’s Conservation plan, Harmonization documents, Procurement procedures etc.
