- Responsible for strategic sourcing of Microprocessors.- Gather and analyze supplier data to prepare analysis and recommendation for supplier selection, with focus on sourcing in low-cost countries.- Conduct supplier assessments for potential new suppliers.- Work with suppliers to develop continuous improvement plans and metrics to monitor performance.- Negotiate and implement long-term and other commercial agreements with up front and year-on-year savings.- Assist suppliers with problem solving and tracking corrective actions.- Provide advice / guidance to Buyers or Senior Buyers within the Commodity or Global Purchasing function and/or lead special projects as assigned by senior leadership.

- Accountable for QCD includes regular account reviews in line with the company process.- Alignment and Management of the Goodrich ECS / AEC KPIs and agreement of KPIs with suppliers each month.- Maintain, negotiate and update long-term, in-feed and other commercial agreements with targeted savings.- Ensure suppliers fully meet targets in respect of specific new product introductions.- Support and develop commodity strategies in line with the company requirements.- Understand and take advantage of new technologies in Manufacturing and Product to support technology roadmap and commercial targets.

- To manage the procurement of high risk / high value requirements for allocated project / bid.- To interface between Project and Procurement Function.- Negotiate sub-contracts to support Project constraints and achieve timely performance.- Production of management reports to communicate sub contractor status.- Formulating project procurement strategy, project plans and targets ensuring that these Project commitments are met.- Quickly form constructive relationships with both suppliers and internal customers.

- I joined the company on the graduate scheme.- This was a subcontract management roll within the out-sourced major sub-components area.- The commodities dealt with were major bought out items primarily for cockpit displays, power systems and fuel systems. Annual spend in the millions of pounds bracket.- This involved managing key, high profile contracts that were critical to site performance. These contracts were both on-going business and also development business, from the initial request for proposal stage.
