I am a music technology graduate with a huge interest in IT, technology and music. During my time learning and studying music technology, I developed an enthusiasm for the physics and computing side of music; cumulating in the building of a number of recording devices as well as using sound generation languages such as PD (C), Max MSP(C++), Maxforlive and Supercolider (smalltalk). Along side this, I also play a multitude of musical instruments (which always keeps me busy) and I take any chances I have at learning new ones!Working as a consultant with ECS in IT Recruitment provides me with the perfect opportunity to keep up to date with current trends and technologies within the IT industry, whilst furthering my knowledge of the IT workflow within the business world. I also have the chance to speak to and network with other like-minded individuals which is always interesting! Everyday presents me with a new challenge and the opportunity to meet and converse with different people - furthering my personal attributes while helping others in the process. My time with ECS has been both prosperous and a huge learning curve. I have gained an understanding of new technologies, programming languages, workflows, skill sets and their place within a team or company. I work a multitude of roles across the IT sector (and many others) and particularly specialise within managed services and project management. This specialisation has been developed through personal learning and engaging with industry professionals in order to better understand their roles and how they fit within a comprehensive capacity.Outside of work, I like to get out into the countryside and keep myself active. I have a huge interest in outdoor sports and exploration as well as team sports including football and rugby. I am also a keen fencer and seek any opportunity to try new sports.
