About Jonathan Mackay
I started my career in music before deciding that I wanted to learn everything I could about money, economics, and the science that it entails. While getting my BS in Finance with an emphasis of Corporate Finance and Strategy, I worked in the accounting field. Upon finishing that degree, I was at Goldman Sachs, then a consultant for NBM Inc. As a consultant I saw a lot of unique financial challenges within the Healthcare industry and Non-Profit Sector. I found a passion to help those trying to help others and make the world a better place but saw that the nuances of financial management were stopping them from doing the most good without a hefty price tag. I thought to myself, "there must be a way to do quality care and work for a reasonable price while maintaining growth to help the greatest amount of people." I decided to go back to school and take a job teaching to get a Masters in Health Administration with a concentration in Financial Management. While in school I did work with the non-profit foundation of CHOC Children's Hospital, other healthcare organizations, and a CPA firm. After graduation I worked for Kindred Healthcare and Robert Half before coming to Community Partners. My hobbies include fencing, cooking, and competitive gaming.
Listed skills include Creative Problem Solving, Management, Leadership, Highly Responsible, and 17 others.
