Part of the Communities Team at Yes Scotland for the duration of the independence referendum campaign. Initially responsible for Glasgow and the West of Scotland, later expanding my remit to encompass the whole of Scotland.My role involved liaising with over 300 local groups; drafting and distribution of best practice and guidance to local lead volunteers; working with Research, Digital and Press teams to construct best narrative via traditional and new media; representing campaign directly on television, radio, and other media; organising and publicising campaign events for both local and national audiences; point person for local training and support on electoral database system; providing day to day support for local campaign teams and organisers; managing ordering and distribution of campaign materials; outreach at local and national events.
