I lead Eversheds Sutherland’s UK debt capital markets practice and also co-lead our structured finance practice. Working together with colleagues in offices across our global network, as well as our specialist tax, derivatives, regulatory and US securities teams, I advise on a wide range of domestic and cross-border transactions, including public bond offerings, private placements (including USPPs), green, social and sustainable bonds, liability management exercises, bond restructurings, convertible bonds and hybrid capital structures, public and private securitisations, securitised warehouse lending, structured note programmes, portfolio sales and acquisitions and forward funding arrangements. My sector expertise includes financial institutions, real estate, clean energy and sustainability, supranationals and the automotive sector. In addition, on the DCM side, I have extensive emerging markets experience, having acted for both issuers and bookrunners on multiple transactions across Africa, the Middle East, Russia and the CIS, and Latin America.I am also a keen advocate for ESG and sustainability. I have a long-standing interest in this area, having studied Environmental Biology for my undergraduate degree long before it became a leading topic of the day in finance and business. I sit on the ESG steering group for Eversheds Sutherland, and regularly advise and speak on topics such as green bonds and sustainable finance, as well as doing pro bono work in this area.
