I began my law enforcement journey in 2002 and quickly realized that I was well-suited for the profession where I excelled in policing, mentorship, leadership, and felt a strong dedication to the calling. As I continued to grow professionally, I saw an opportunity to become a formal leader within the department and promoted to the rank of Corporal in March 2007. Although I briefly left Allen Police Department in 2008 to explore opportunities in the private sector, my passion for law enforcement led me back to the Allen Police Department in September 2009.In October 2011, I married my wife Jessica and became the stepfather of two amazing girls: Kylie and Kaitlyn. Jessica and I had our first son, Jett, in August 2012 followed by our second son, Jackson, in April 2015. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, hunting and fishing, and relaxingweekends at the lake. My career path within law enforcement has been diverse, marked by various roles and responsibilities. In March 2013, I was promoted to the rank of sergeant and served in crucial capacities such as Field Training Sergeant, K-9 Sergeant, and Intoxilyzer Program Sergeant, demonstrating my versatility and expertise across different domains of policing.My commitment to excellence has been recognized through accolades such as the Integrity P.R.I.D.E award from the City of Allen in 2014. In 2015, after thirteen years in my law enforcement career, I returned to college. My dedication to both my profession and education is evident in my achievement of earning a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences in Organizational Leadership, being named to the President’s Scholars list, and being invited to become a member of The National Society of Leadership and Success.In addition to my professional responsibilities, I have been actively involved in fostering a supportive environment within the department. I served as the President of the Allen Police Association from 2018 to 2021, playing a key role in advocating for the welfare of fellow officers and successfully obtaining Meet and Confer agreements.In 2021, I embraced a new challenge by accepting the role of Public Information Officer for the department, further showcasing my adaptability and leadership skills. Despite the demands of this additional responsibility, I continue to serve on patrol, demonstrating my unwavering commitment to protecting and serving the community of Allen.
