In my current position as Research and Development Manager at Actylis-Eugene, I act as a second level manager to a team of 14 R&D scientists, serve on the senior leadership team of Actylis-Eugene, and am responsible for the development and implementation of both technical and personal programs for the R&D department. I am a physical organic chemist by training with experience in process research and development with experience developing scalable synthetic routes towards cGMP manufacture of APIs for phase I/II clinical trials. I have served as the technical lead for a project moving from phase III to commercial manufacture where I designed a Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) of the process and then designed and executed across all scales the resultant critical process parameter experiments based upon the FMEA. I have transferred multiple processes from the pilot lab to phase I/II cGMP manufacturing in my role as technical transfer chemist. I have a diverse technical background with experience in air-free Schlenk technique, multi-step organic synthesis, reaction kinetics, cold labeling, highly potent APIs, library synthesis, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, and organometallic chemistry.
