DMP Homes are a new construction company in the Perth Market, specialising in design and construct, energy efficiency and quick construction times DMP homes are innovative and changing how the housing/unit/apartment industry thinks. I started working with DMP homes in October 2016. Within DMP homes my include but are not limited to,• System design and creation.• Quality Control system creation, implementation and monitoring.• Health and Safety system creation, implementation and monitoring.• Estimating.• Manage design stage consultation between client, DMP and consultants for numerous multi residential developments.• Manage council and authority applications including, DFES, Water corp, Alinta energy, Western power, NBN, Local council, Waste management.• Create sub-contractor agreements and implement throughout all projects.• Manage all site documentation, including safety, quality, shop drawings, RFI’s, RFA’s, Variations.• Manage all procurement including creating scope of works and maintaining budgets.• Control of all finances including but not limited to sub-contractor payments, client and sub-contractor variations, controlling cash flow, reporting to investors.• Liaising with potential clients.• Estimating• Manage Site Supervisors and construction process to ensure that all projects run on time, on budget with minimal fuss to all clients.

I joined Esslemont Cockram Construction in July 2013. I was immediately place on site on a 10 month, $5.5m contract to construct a year 7 block at Carine SHS including fire access road, car park extension and refurbishment of existing tennis/netball and basketball court.Responsibilities included,• All procurement including issuing scopes of works and managing budgets.• Site programming.• All liaising with the superintendents/consultant’s/Quantity Surveyor and client including RFI’s, shop drawings, variations, requests for approval, site instructions, EOT’s and contractual issues.• Working closely with site manager to control site safety including controlling high risk task registers, SWMS, relevant working permits, safety walks/audits.• Controlling all finances including client and subcontractor variations, progress claims, controlling cash flow, all costs forecasts to completion, reporting final forecasts to senior management. • Negotiating and agreeing all final accounts and handover documentation for both client and subcontractorsCarine SHS year 7 was an extremely detailed and architecturally challenging building. I have had detailed input to every aspect of the job from design queries which included an approved change in the roofing material to contractor disputes. Carine SHS was completed on 21/04/2014, within program time.

HALIKOS CONSTRUCTIONI joined the Halikos group in April 2012, Halikos Construction are a Darwin based construction company that have successfully completed a wide range of EPCM projects, including education, health and housing projects with values up to $79 million. Within Halikos Construction I was involved with a $79million Design and Construct development of 98 houses for Defense Housing Australia including complete infrastructure and civil works being completed in-house. $7million Design and Construct private office development with open plan office area of 3800m2Within these projects responsibilities are as follows;• Engaging sub-contractors, completing and agreeing scope of works, price negotiations and the issuing of contracts.• Profit loss forecasting.• Current financial positioning and cost control• Invoice authorization.• Issuing of RFI’s to client and addendums to sub-contractors• Management of EOT’s• On site measuring and agreeing final accounts• Variation management between sub-contractors, main contractor and client.In addition to managing the construction of these projects I was also involved with the tendering for the following • Design and construct contract for 50 defense houses. $18.5million• Demolition of 158 defense houses. $11million• Medical Centre Demolition, Refurbishment and Upgrade. $2.2million• Darwin Abattoir, civil works for proposed abattoir. $3.4million • Design and Construct of 82 houses under real housing for growth. $18million

Monocouche Ltd is an Irish based residential and commercial building company that specialises in the application and treatment of Single coat, scratched coloured plaster. With commercial developments up to $10+ million. My main duties were;• Sourcing, pricing and securing possible work.• Approaching sub-contractors, drafting scopes of works, price negotiations and contract management.• Managing day to day site operations including but not limited to material delivery, labor force.• Cash flow management.• Financial positioning and cost control• Subcontractor payment authorizations.• On site measuring, Invoicing client and agreeing final accounts• Retention Release• Variation management between sub contractors, main contractor and client.I left Monocouche LTD due to a lack of work in the Irish economy and returned to Australia

Total Construction is a construction management company based in Sydney, I commenced my employment with Total Construction in March 2010 and was placed in charge of administrating a number of our BER Schools Projects, working closely with our sub-contractors and the managing contractor, and moving on to commercial EPCM buildings.Main duties include• Preparing Claims for the Client.• Processing subcontractor payments.• Valuing and agreeing variations, both to client and subcontractor.• Pricing and letting sub contracts, working with project managers to ensure correct scope of works minimizing variations• Drawing take off and on site measuring for variations and valuations• Identifying and processing extension of time claims and request for information documents• Forecasting profit margins, allocating costs to come and strict cost control.• Monthly progress reports.• Agreeing final contract claims• Managing on site works, issues and maximizing program flowThese duties were completed on 10 schooling jobs through North Sydney and the Hunter Region valuing from $500,000 to $10 million. These developments ranged from small refurbishments to new build halls, classrooms and activity areas. Major works included Civil/concreting works, structural steel installation, brick/block work, specialised sheet metal roofing, sports flooring, hydraulic and electric works and complete internal fit outs.I was also involved with the application and integration of a business management system which has been approved to "Quality Management ISO 9001"

J&R Contracts are a family run civil and groundwork based contractor. The main work undertaken included Foul/Storm drainage, all duct works, muck shifting, concreting, paving/kerbing, road improvement schemes, airport civil works and landscaping. Within J&R Contracts I extended my skills on many fronts. Initially I resolved outstanding financial matters such as finishing final accounts, chasing unclaimed retention and resolving outstanding disputes. This progressed to the full administrative financial control of civil construction contracts, including • Cost planning,• Agreeing valuations, • On site measuring,• Payments for subcontractors and• Buying control, incorporating the resourcing of alternative materials/methods. The initial job I supervised in this manner was a school project, with a final value of £1.2m (Sterling)As the Irish economy declined I found my time directed more towards estimation, procuring, producing Bills of Quantities and ultimately tendering for a number of wide ranging construction jobs. These included harbor, new school, new build housing, retail parks and road works.

Within this I had an extremely wide range of tasks which gave me great experience in the construction industry. This was a basis for my placement year as it gave me insight into construction technology, the wide range of tasks I was involved in included, demolition, tracking, laboring to brick layers, erecting steel, fencing, steel tying, concreting, cutting holes for services, driving dumpers, as well as all other labouring duties, cleaning up etc.

I was employed for a year as a degree placement student with Lagan Construction. Within Lagan I worked on several projects, Water pumping station and pipe line in Newry,Refurbishment and extension of a live waste water treatment works in Sion Mills,Installation of 5 miles of new sewage pipeline to allow for further development in Drumahoe, N.Ireland.On each of these jobs I worked under a senior quantity surveyor, keeping on site records, preparing valuations, agreeing sub contract measures, preparing cost reports, assisting with cost predictions. Initially, I worked very closely with my senior quantity surveyor, and as the year progressed and my confidence increased I took on more issues and made more on site, ad-hoc decisions myself.
