Formal photography studios were also set up during the evenings, where we would photograph singles, families and couples in different poses on different backgrounds. We would take about 6 000 photographs per day.We were also salespeople - we manned the Photography Gallery while at sea and assisted the passengers in finding and purchasing their photographs.I conducted both the beginner and advanced photography seminars that were held while at sea - lecturing to interested passengers about the art and science that photography is. -

We were hired based on our can-do attitudes and ability to work hard in a new and exciting place; and work hard we did!We worked in the sub-zero ICE! exhibit and functioned as guides and helping hands for the thousands of guests who came to see the impressive ice sculptures and have fun on the ice slides. We would work in rotating shifts and make sure that guests had warm coats, knew where to go, helped them take photographs and kept them safe within the exhibit. It was sometimes extremely cold, sometimes pedantic but always a joy to be working in such a new and exciting city.
