Throughout my career, I have often found myself in situations where I am the only member of staff available to get the job done timely and correctly.I use my initiative when it is required. However, I am also able to take a backseat and ask my managers which tasks they feel I'd be the best fit on when there are plans already in place. I opt-in to performing the difficult tasks that others can find physical, time-limited, challenging or intimidating.I am nowhere near perfect. There have been times in the past where I was placed on a task where I had little or no experience, and became frustrated. and in the past, I often found myself sacrificing safety for performance. In time I had to adapt to using safety equipment, and I found that in some areas, surprisingly, using safety equipment was actually beneficial and actually made the task easier. Like when using gloves to wrap a pallet. I now prefer using gloves. I am versatile within my workplace and can perform all roles within the warehouse to an average or good standard.I often work overtime during busy periods and enjoy coming in to lend an extra hand. I have no sick days, I start early on most of my shifts so I can get a headstart. I genuinely enjoy, and feel a sense of purpose and care for my work. and therefore I do put in additional effort, break a sweat, and push myself to get the job done.I get on well with my managers and upper-management, however I have little desire to be in a management role personally. I often find myself in a position where I am required to teach new members of staff and get them up to speed which I enjoy.As I currently have a lot of benefits in my current role, such as unlimited overtime and the comfort of familiarity,I would be seeking a role that can offer a minimum basic pay rate of £14 per hour for me to consider relocating.Cheers, JonathanEducation:My educational background is in Computer Science.I have a HND in Software Development and attended Abertay University.This includes some Mathematics, Physics, Game Design, and 3D art at a University LevelI do not use these skills in my current role; and, my current role was a result of "breaking away" from the lifestyle of a Game Designer with a more physically demanding on-my-feet style role which I felt was a healthy choice for me. Computer Science remains an interest as a hobby as I make games for fun in my freetime.
