Developed a rapid response pipeline to identify serum antibodies to known and unknown viruses as part of the DARPA Pandemic Prevention Platform.

• Developed and published a protocol to discover natively paired (VH:VL) antibody sequences on a single cell level with high throughput using a custom-designed flow-focusing device.• Processed samples and bioinformatically analyzed natively paired antibodies in human patients arising from chronic disease (HIV-1) or vaccination (influenza, polio, and pneumovax). • Trained several companies and academic labs in how to construct and operate the flow focusing device, as well as how to bioinformatically process the resultant NextGen sequencing data.

• Developed a strategy to rapidly and seamlessly clone highly repetitive polypeptides of any sequence and specified length. • Engineered a nanoparticle drug delivery platform that responds to a narrow temperature range by designing, screening, and modeling several thermoresponsive polypeptide libraries.• Determined a set of rules governing self-assembly into spherical micelles by conjugating model compounds and chemotherapeutics to one end of the polypeptides.• Designed highly asymmetric polypeptides that spontaneously assembled into unexpected morphologies such as vesicles and worm-like structures.• Examined biodistribution, tumor penetration, pharmacokinetics, and tumor regression in vivo of these thermoresponsive systems in response to tumor hyperthermia.
