I have a strong background in nuclear operations and maintenance, having served as a Nuclear Reactor Operator for four years on board naval submarines. I supervised the control and safety systems of pressurized water nuclear reactors, and maintained a comprehensive knowledge of nuclear physics, heat transfer, fluid systems, plant chemistry, electrical and mechanical systems, and radiological controls and monitoring systems. I was responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance in a challenging and demanding environment.I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering Technology at Thomas Edison State University, where I am expanding my theoretical and practical knowledge of nuclear engineering and technology. I am passionate about learning new skills and applying them to real-world problems. I am also interested in exploring the applications of nuclear energy in other sectors, such as medicine, agriculture, and industry.As a Talent Acquisition Specialist at US Navy, I source and train qualified candidates for key roles in the naval service. I use my recruiting and mentoring skills to determine eligibility, complete administrative and physical requirements, and prepare people for success at Recruit Training Command.
