I am a cyber security professional with hard-earned leadership experience from service in the U.S. Navy as well as devotion to family, fatherhood, and my faith community. I am a nerd that also values human interaction and organizing high performing teams at tactical and operational levels.One of my passions is ultra-distance trail running, which combined with my experience as a cryptologist, caused me to learn about security hazards of fitness data in the world of social media. Aggregated data, even data set to private, can be used in public facing data summations which can expose secret locations.https://taskandpurpose.com/tech-tactics/strava-military-bases-opsec-map/This led me to a personal project I'm calling OPSEC Fitness, which obfuscates the GPS data in the fitness files produced by fitness trackers, so that stats such as pace, distance, heartrate, etc. stay the same, but the location is somewhere else. I'm working on multiple algorithms to accomplish this. The simplest method is transposing the GPS points to another location.
