-Work primarily as a field engineer visiting customer facilities all over the US and a few internationally to help with their metrology needs. -Have worked with customers in various technical industries such as Aerospace, Defense, Power Generation, Construction, Automotive, Medical, and Shipbuilding. -When in the field, I will assist with 3D inspection, alignment of machinery, and customer training. -Use Hexagon and Faro portable metrology equipment and software (laser trackers, articulating arms, large volume scanners, Spatial Analyzer) to perform whatever task the customer needs completed. -Some examples of the projects I have worked on include: proton therapy cancer treatment machinery alignment, boat hull scans, large scale stator and rotor construction, FAI of aerospace assemblies. -70% of my time is spent in the field, but when I am back at the office, I will assist with calibration and certification of metrology equipment, small scale 3D inspection (CMM, hand tools, vision system), and analysis/reporting of field and inhouse work. -Help train new employees on metrology equipment, software and methodology. Oversee six employee timesheets and expenses.
