Current> Managing attorney at a full-service law firm specializing in the representation of small to large businesses in a wide variety of commercial matters, including both defense of clients in litigation as well as negotiating on their behalf in a broad range of business transactions, employment matters, and corporate policies.> Currently serving as outside General Counsel to a rapidly growing real estate development, construction, and architecture firm, handling all of the company’s legal affairs including drafting employment agreements, policies, and procedures, responding to workers’ compensation claims and coordinating with insurance counsel, ensuring compliance with EDD, OSHA, and other federal, state and local employment guidelines and regulations, negotiating development deals, drafting supplier, subcontractor, and service contracts, protecting and managing intellectual property and drafting related licensing agreements, and representing the company in disputes with customers, service providers, employees and third parties.> Litigation matters: Defended a variety of businesses and individuals in state and federal courts in disputes concerning employment, fraud/breach of fiduciary duties, breach of contract, real estate and construction liens, enforcement of settlement agreements, and intellectual property infringement (see, e.g., I.P.L., LLC v. S.S. Sarna, Inc. & Claire’s Stores, Inc. (U.S. Dist. Court, C.D. Cal. Case No. 2:16-cv-03532) (defense of international retailer with over $1 Billion in annual revenue from claims of copyright and trademark infringement)).> Transactional matters: Drafted and negotiated numerous commercial contracts, including master service agreements, procurement and asset purchase contracts, and IP licensing agreements, drafted employee handbooks, policies, and employment agreements, procured trademark and copyright certifications, represented start-up businesses in drafting related agreements.
