I am a recent Economics graduate with a BA (hons) degree from Manchester Metropolitan University. I am now looking to secure a graduate position where I can utilise my analytical skills and knowledge and develop these skills further in a practical and fast paced business environment.I am ambitious and my career goal is to progress through the company gaining experience and taking more responsibility for the implementation of the company’s goals and strategies. I am looking to actively contribute to the overall success of any business I work for.My work experience gained during the summer vacations has given very valuable practice of how to work within different aspects of companies and with different job roles. I have shadowed a Finance Director who chaired meetings discussing financial processes and currency rates on a global scale and implemented requirements for an audit.I have also worked more directly with accountants and been involved in the day to day running of an accounts departments and used different types of software required for financial transactions. I have also seen the process from start to finish with raising invoices and doing banking journals showing cash flow in and out of a business.I enjoy new challenges and consider myself to be a fast learner, with a business mind-set. I consider myself to have a good knowledge of commercial topics and of customer relations. I have a good ‘head for figures’ and feel that I have the ability to foster strong working relationships with colleagues across an organisation. I am confident in my communication skills, both written and verbal and I am ready to take on new challenges that this role may bring. I believe that my drive and analytical thinking will enable me to solve all kinds of problems and see projects through from start to finish.On a personal level, I also enjoy challenging myself and I have recently completed the Manchester half marathon.
