A Journeyman Electrician at Arizona Public Service (aps), a leading electric utility in Arizona, and an Owner and Operator at Merino Electrical Technologies, a family-owned business that I started with my father to serve the industrial and commercial sectors in Arizona. With a combined 46 years of experience in the electrical trade, my father and I have the skills, knowledge, and passion to deliver high-quality electrical solutions to our clients.My interest in the electrical trade began in high school, when I learned from my father, a great mentor and electrician. I pursued various classes in the industry and started my career as an electrical apprentice at Freeport-McMoRan, a global mining company. After completing my apprenticeship, I was promoted to Diagnostic Electrician and later to Shift Electrician, where I was responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting various electrical systems and equipment.Wanting to expand my horizons and challenge myself, I joined APS in power generation, where I work to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the power plant. I also launched Merino Electrical Technologies with my father, where we leverage our expertise and experience to provide customized and cost-effective electrical services to our customers.
