Technical lead for cleanliness and detrimental materials process improvements:- Completed a root-and-branch rewrite of the MOD cleanliness standard, requiring consensus building across numerous teams within Rolls-Royce, Babcock, BAE Systems and the MOD.- Defined a roadmap to replace legacy lab test methods with modern systems, saving significant cost and time, while improving analysis accuracy.Research Lead for critical commodity supply issues:- Coordinated an in-depth research project across five departments in Rolls-Royce Submarines, looking to solve issues surrounding a critical commodity in a very short space of time.- Completed programme to time and budget, and delivered the final report directly to Captain-level staff within the MOD. Successfully secured programme funding to continue research and contingency planning.On-site, hands-on - Deployed Chemist:- Delivered chemical analysis process training to submarine crews, on-board using their lab facilities to ensure they could see how to carry out the process in their usual environment. Regularly deployed to Faslane and Coulport at short notice, and delivering well received training every time.- Supported the Power Range Testing of HMS Audacious; covering chemistry control of both primary and secondary systems up to and during first operation. While on site, I improved our data capture and visualisation, enabling better communication between the Chemistry team, the boat crew and the PRT governance group.
