-Lead spindle engineer responsible for all spindle projects, costs, timing, scheduling, and quality.-Designed spindles to for manufacturing applications including motorized, gear driven, multi-spindle heads, and belt-driven spindles. Designed spindles for testing Black Hawk Helicopter rotor transmissions, NASCAR Clutches, and electric motors.-Developed test practices for new and existing products.-Write reports for documenting spindle failures, technical specifications, and assembly instructions.-Support other engineering departments in the design of Fixtures and Broaching Machines.-Approve designs and engineering changes as part of an Engineering Change Release (ECR) process.-Successfully work with manufacturing and assembly to optimize designs in order to reduce cost, improve quality, and reduce issues at assembly. -Train new employees. Teaching standards, engineering design practices, and internal processes.-Provide technical support to customers, engineers, and suppliers. Teaching them on the proper use, design, or manufacturing of our products.
