An experienced Public Health Specialist and leader with over 12 years’ experience working with national governments, multilateral agencies, local as well as international non-governmental organizations (NGOs). I have a proven track record in grant making and management, having successfully managed cumulative grants worth over $50 million, that have supported local NGOs, academic institutions, national and county governments in achieving HIV epidemic control within the Central region of Kenya.Recognizing the importance of project sustainability, I have co-chaired several transition and sustainability task forces leading to the development of roadmaps geared towards shifting leadership and funding of HIV prevention, care and treatment services to national and county programs. Additionally I have led multidisciplinary teams in successful implementation of these transition road maps leading to increased ownership and funding allocation by County Governments towards their HIV programs.I have participated in developing country operation plans for PEPFAR grants in Kenya cumulatively worth over $2.5 Billion in the last 7 years. As the Technical Lead for HIV testing services, I led the development and implementation of the country strategy towards achieving the 1st 95 of the joint UNAIDS 95-95-95 targets.
