MISSION I firmly believe service directed toward health care disparities can drive change in today’s society. I hope to provide support to a company with similar ambitions. LEAD TO SERVE (Managerial and Visionary Skills)Concluding my education in Biomedical Engineering (May 2017), I will continue inspiring others to impact the healthcare industry through leadership. Leading one of the largest student-led organizations at NC State University, The Pre-Health Club (800+ members), I have an increased appreciation for collaborative work environments to accomplish company goals.GIVING BACKServing as the Activities and Outreach Chair for the Biomedical Engineering Society Student Chapter (BMES), I became interested in working with children. Aside from our STEM Outreach Events, I mentor disadvantaged children in the community as a volunteer athletic coach emphasizing college education, goal setting, and academic performance. This experience, along with work as a Biochemistry Teaching Assistant, has proven me capable of instructing diverse populations. RESEARCHDecreasing health care disparities can be supplemented with bench and clinical research. I am well-suited for research involving direct patient contact. The health concerns of the community drove me to become certified in Emergency Medicine (EMT-B), Basic Life Support (CPR-BLS), and Suicide Prevention (QPR). While partial to clinical environments, bench research also impacts those we may never interact with. I look forward to engaging in research to accomplish my goal of a healthier society.
