After 25 years of service, serving with The Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers in the British Army I have completed my military career.I have carried out various roles during my military career from Inventory management, Asset Management, Supply specialist, carrying out both individual and team development and training, as well as Personnel management & discipline.The bulk of my career I have carried out inventory & asset management, however alongside this role also mentored junior soldiers as individuals and sections to ensure they have the tools required to obtain promotion. Further to this I have delivered training to larger audiences from all broad range of peer groups, frequently delivering yearly training to ensure all ranks stay current and deployable.I have taught to not just the Army but the RAF and Royal Navy also, due to working in several tri-service environments. This has allowed me to develop a much better understanding of working with a diverse workforce and helped to break down boundaries of communication.I've had to manage facilities and equipment throughout my career and ensure that health and safety procedures have been put in place. I was the Unit fire coordinator and ensured that fire inspections were carried out on time and all checks and records were carried out and correct. A role which involved liaising with both the military and civilian fire service.On several occasions in the absence of senior management I have taken on the role of personnel management and discipline, ensuring information is shared, tasks are given fairly, appointments are made and carrying out any discipline action required.
