As an Energy Advisor, I'm the face of DSM programs to the participating customers. I primarily help implement Xcel Energy's Small Business Lighting Program for commercial customers up to 400kW of annual demand. I'm also managing the development of a new cloud-based application for conducting energy assessments and tracking DSM program performance. In this project I've interfaced with programmers and the company's Director of Information Management to design an application that will reduce project cycle time and create new efficiencies for program management. Specifically, the application logs the details of energy calculations at the algorithm input level enabling discrete analysis of customer profiles and savings potential. It also allows granular project tracking at the measure level to provide robust capabilities for customer segmentation and DSM project pipeline management. Other key responsibilities include:- continuous improvement of program delivery to ensure scope of work compliance- managing and editing program work-plans and operation manuals- implementing new marketing strategies to uncover deeper savings potential

As a research analyst at E Source I perform research and analysis of best practices in delivery, administration, and evaluation of utility efficiency and demand response programs. The goal of my work is to help utility program administrators identify industry trends and innovation in program offerings. I provide demand response program managers perspective and context for discerning demand response markets and policies. Recently I helped administer a national benchmarking study of utility direct load control programs.I am very interested in advanced applications for implementing demand response such as AutoDR and OpenADR, corporate energy management, and helping customers realize tangible benefits from utility grid modernization initiatives.
