I assist with the coordination of the activities and efforts of the organization at the national level.

Kenya Environmental Education Network started as an environmental education professionals’ network and discussion forum. The organization has since grown beyond talks and discussions to coordinate environmental education activities in Kenya, disseminating information, mobilizing citizens to take action, and delivering Kenyan leadership to steer the country towards the realization of green growth.

The role involved spearheading and executing a conservation education programme designed for schools and community groups. Teaching learners, ranging from primary to tertiary institutions, during their visits to the conservancy was another rewarding aspect of my work. I used diverse instructional methods to engage them effectively in finding solutions to the environmental challenges around them.In addition, I provided valuable assistance to community groups by offering guidance on grant writing and fundraising ideas and activities for their conservation and community development projects. Ultimately, my work revolved around a strong sense of community collaboration to initiate and successfully implement environmental conservation projects that benefited both the environment and the local residents.I also played an instrumental role in the organization and coordination of the 2012 Laikipia Highland Games, an annual sporting event organized by the Conservancy to bring together athletes from the community and beyond to celebrate and foster peace, build relationships, and provide a platform for emerging talents to showcase their skills for future opportunities.
