Edwards DemingPerhaps it is because I am from the Show-Me State, but using data and facts to support action items has always been a passion of mine. As a data-driven leader, I have progressed from a data analyst to a manager of projects born from the types of data analyses I formerly provided. Furthermore, my managerial career started with leading singularly-focused teams and now has progressed to assembling and leading cross-functional teams to complete projects. Commended as a man of action who will “take the ball and run through a wall,” I am a meticulous planner who will build action plans and chart out tasks, and will then release the hounds. My efforts have led to cost reductions and efficiency achievements, all the while staying on time and on budget.Career Highlights Include: Managing BCCSS web-application development, using Agile methodologies, to improve supply chain data integrity and transform the capabilities of the BCCSS Contract Registry.  Driving the implementation of EDI at BCCSS. Actions associated with this effort include purchasing activity (PO, POA, Invoice, and Catalog Update) analysis, coordination with vendors to implement EDI across three different ERPs, and leading the BCCSS technical staff to make the appropriate changes. Analyzing thousands of data records at the Washington University School of Medicine to advise physicians on increasing reimbursement rates which resulted in $200,000 of billed charges being recovered from affiliated hospitals.
