Responsible for defined contribution (DC) strategy, product development and distribution across EMEA for Dimensional. Experience at working with clients in the UK, Ireland, Holland and South Africa.

Responsible for investment strategy and product design for defined contribution and wider workplace savings schemes.

Part of the senior management team that has built the corporate pensions business into one of the leading DC providers in the UK. I was responsible for the investment proposition with key roles in both an internal and external capacity. Worked closely with the UK Life executive and investment committees to ensure the proposition was competitive, customer centric and well governed. This included having a strong knowledge of the relevant UK and European regulatory regimes, incorporating the key aspects (e.g. RDR, TCF, Solvency II) into my work. Externally, I met regularly with clients, consultants, asset managers and banks in order to help build the Zurich brand and reputation.Enhancement of the corporate fund range and strategic investment platform, including development of Zurich’s corporate wrap proposition. I was responsible for a significant increase in the number of funds and fund manager relationships, with the investment proposition being regarded as one the market leaders.Took a lead role in new business opportunities.Development of a new internal fund governance framework for corporate pensions.

Provision of regulated, professional advice to the firm’s clients around the world, which include pension schemes (predominately defined contribution), charitable organisations, endowments, supranationals and governments. In addition to client responsibilities, I researched the capabilities of pension providers and asset managers, including the quality of the investment decision-making and the business management that supports the people and process. I was also a member of the firm’s DC Steering Committee, which was responsible for policy development and overseeing research processes.
