Contracted to a project separating data systems from the parent company from which Advisor 360° was spun off.• Designed a metadata-driven data extraction and ingestion platform in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to export A360 data to the parent client. The metadata system contains information on the tables being exported, as well as the performance of every extraction and ingestion load.• Exported the data into native-format binary files. Compressed files using the GZip algorithm. Generated a JSON manifest document to track the files sent. Designed, planned, and developed an enterprise data warehouse (EDW) for startup analyzing clinical health data. The EDW utilized Snowflake to integrate electronic health records (EHR) with medical claims. Implemented extract-transform-and-load (ETL) processes to load the EDW from source files.• Designed a framework to load data from compressed text files into a Snowflake database. The framework is metadata-driven to streamline development, as well as capture data traceability and lineage. Presented the framework to peers and guided them in the usage of the framework.• Analyzed vendor data dictionaries and built data models to derive metadata information. Documented source-to-target mapping from vendor data model into the company analytical data model. Data models represented over a dozen entities, with as many as 128 columnar definitions.

Member of a business intelligence team serving a publicly traded racing and gaming corporation. Designed, planned, and developed an enterprise data warehouse (EDW) powered by MS SQL Server, analyzing racing and casino gaming data. Implemented extract-transform-and-load (ETL) processes to load the EDW from source systems.• Led a project to add new metrics from a custom historical horse racing (HHR) casino system into the data warehouse. Met with business leaders and subject-matter experts (SMEs) to identify pain points and desired outcomes. Designed the technical approach plan. Created user stories to estimate scheduling and coordinate with other projects.• Led data model development integrating multiple heterogenous data systems, including: casino operations, VIP customer promotions, point-of-sale food and beverage sales, HR employee time, and general ledger accounting data (powered by JDE). Planned and reviewed design and schemas of online-transaction processing (OLTP) databases for a payments processing company handling over 430,000 transactions daily, totaling nearly $180M per day. Administered database servers in the development environment. Reviewed and approved development work performed by in-house and offshore developers.• Planned database design for a transaction processing engine (TPE) enterprise service. This handled payment transactions for over 4,000 financial institutions, as well as third-party remittance from RPPS and other payment aggregators. Created entity relationship diagram (ERD) for the SQL Server 2012 databases storing data. Determined security and encryption requirements to meet Payment Card Industry (PCI) security standards.• Coached contract developers on SQL best coding practices. Led peer reviews of database development code scripts. Counseled over a dozen developers on best practices for database development.

Imported files from health insurance providers containing millions of rows of subscriber and claim data in a variety of formats, including EBCDIC, X12 (834, 835, and 837), fixed-length and delimited text. Conducted analyses of content metadata, including fill rates, value histograms, gross counts and total claims, and load performance.• Implemented data loading applications using SSIS for loading client insurance data into databases for data mining. Client data received in multiple formats, including fixed-width text files, delimited .CSV files, and Excel spreadsheets. Monthly data extracts exceeded over 500 million rows per month.
