I am an experienced corporate communications professional and strategic communications advisor to senior management in large private and public sector organisations operating across Asia and in New Zealand, also with considerable sustainability, marketing, events management and government relations experience.One of my core strengths is managing relationships with key external and internal stakeholders to influence, achieve goals and drive change.Having led both in-country and cross-border teams in large, complex, multinational organisations for over 12 years, I relish the opportunity to lead teams to achieve business outcomes, and have a strong track record of identifying, hiring and developing talent and building team engagement.I am a collaborative team player with strong values, people management and interpersonal skills with a passion for sustainability, diversity and inclusion, and employee engagement and wellbeing.I have lived and worked in Asia for 23 years, including 14 years in Japan and over 8 years in Singapore, and have handled Communications work in all major markets in Asia Pacific including Australia - and of course New Zealand. I am also fluent in Japanese for business purposes, having majored in Japanese at University, achieved Level 1 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Exam, and worked using Japanese throughout my time living in the country - and since then at home.
