- Designed and implemented an overhaul of CloudTrail Subscription Service that used caching to reduce database transactions and CPU usage by over 50%, decreasing the risk of an outage and allowing the service to grow beyond 1 trillion events per day.- Led design and development of a microservice in Java using Google Guice, SQS, SNS and DynamoDB to perform tasks upon certain account actions and ensure customer data consistency and replication for thousands of accounts per day.- Led design and development of a microservice responsible for ensuring CloudTrail had an accurate record of accounts that are using AWS Organizations’ Delegated Admin feature, which controls account permissions across an Organization and is thus critical for account security.- Utilized the AWS CDK to create infrastructure as code in TypeScript, creating and supporting more than 2 dozen full-cd deployment pipelines as well as hundreds of different CloudFormation resource stacks across dozens of accounts and regions.- Built and supported CloudTrail infrastructure in the newest AWS region (Tel Aviv), which involved utilizing nearly all major AWS services but particularly CloudFormation, DDB, EC2, and Lambda.- Developed and configured multiple types of automated testing including canary, integration and unit tests using primarily Python.- Added/Updated alarms and monitors on existing microservices to increase error detection and reduce incident response times.- Supported CloudTrail operations as part of a 24/7 On-Call rotation

- Designed and developed a microservice in Java using Spring Boot, SQL and MongoDB to overhaul the old identity and permissions management system, with increased ease-of-use and data consistency. - Reorganized the structure of the microservice into two halves in order to simplify the code and aid future development and maintainability. - Implemented an error flag system within the microservice to allow certain aspects of the service to operate on a best effort basis rather than pass/fail in order to allow for fixing data inconsistencies.- Overhauled the Citrix server code deployment process using Puppet scripts and Artifactory, cutting run time from ~1 hour to 10 minutes. - Wrote automated tests around all new code, using Junit for unit testing and Python for end-to-end regression testing, in order to aid CI/CD efforts.- Created and maintained Jenkins jobs for a variety of tasks including build deployment pipelines, testing, and quality gating.- Supported the core payroll application by diagnosing and addressing production incidents.
