Engineering has been my passion for a long time. As a kid, I was always inspired to figure out how things worked, and decided at age 6 that I would be an engineer. Since then, I have sought to get the best grades possible in my studies, and am now seeking to bring my skills into the workplace.I currently study at the University of Waikato, and am in my final year of my BE(Hons) majoring in mechanical engineering. Some projects I have achieved in the past has been:- Designing and constructing a Level 3 rocket, powered by an M1350W motor, that achieved a maximum altitude of 9,200ft (~2,800m) and a maximum velocity of Mach 0.93 (~1,150km/h).- Designing the cooling system of a solar-powered carRecently I have completed a summer research scholarship at the University of Waikato, aimed at investigating methods of assisted harvesting in agricultural applications. This was a 10 week position, and required an academic poster that summarised the research conducted and results concluded. I am pleased to report that in a pool of around 90 students, my poster was selected as the overall winner.
