Dr. Perley grew up in the Long Beach area and is a graduate of Long Beach Polytechnic High School. He attended the University of California Berkeley, where he received his B.A in Psychology as well as his premedical studies. He then obtained his Medical Doctorate degree at Chicago Medical School. In Chicago he spent a good portion of his time at Cook County Hospital, which was the hospital featured on the hit show "ER".In order to complete his surgical training, Dr. Perley headed south to Houston, where there are over 40,000 people working and being treated everyday in the Houston Medical Center alone. He spent two years learning general surgery and four years mastering Urology. During his training he was Chief Urological Resident at the world-renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center, the No. 1 cancer center in the United States. He was also trained by nationally-known Urologists in the areas of Incontinence, Stone Disease, Prostate Disease, and Erectile Dysfunction.Dr. Perley is certified by the American Board of Urology. He is on the teaching faculty at Harbor UCLA and speaks annually at the Western Section of the American Urological Association. He is currently Chief of Surgery at Lakewood Regional Medical Center.Additionally, he is an expert in Drug and Device Therapy for bladder and prostate disorders. He speaks nationally for Borston-Scientific, Warner-Chilcott, Astellas, Mitomics, and QDx Labs.Dr. Perley's hobbies include water and snow skiing, tennis, stand-up paddle boarding, and model trains.
