Off the back of obtaining my degree in philosophy at university, I was left wondering where on earth do I go from here? A series of life turns later, and I finally arrived at the conclusion that supporting others was where I felt both most effective and fulfilled. After working with youth and young people for a few years, I switched jobs and started working for a local charity that supported individuals that had found themselves homeless. Working in the homelessness sector has taught me a lot about where my skills and talents lie, and it's been a privilege to discover the impact that I've been able to have on the lives of people struggling with addictions, trauma, and/or relationship breakdowns. Philosophy is great, and I love wrestling with some of the bigger questions in life, but I've also found that there is a far more tremendous joy to be found in celebrating the small little individual victories in the lives of others.
