I am a Committee Consultant for the Senate Governance and Finance Committee focusing on local government finance issues.Additional BackgroundAfter graduating from Pomona College in 2009, I was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship for English Teaching in Venezuela. During that year I assisted with the implementation of a U.S. Department of State scholarship program. In 2010, I returned to my alma mater as an Admissions Officer and was promoted to Assistant Dean of Admissions in 2012. My most significant accomplishment was leading the implementation of a more effective evaluation system. The profession provided me with the opportunity to pursue my primary goal of providing access and equity in education. The opportunity to work with inspired young people made for a rewarding professional experience. I graduated from the Goldman School of Public Policy at UC Berkeley in 2015 with a Master of Public Policy. My research was focused on higher education. I also completed projects in K-12 education, emergency management, and public health. I also was Head Graduate Instructor for Professor Robert Reich.In August 2015, I started as a Fiscal and Policy Analyst at the California Legislative Analyst's Office and spent three years working on public safety and health issues.
