During my time at McDonald's I progressed from the role of Crew Member through to Area Leader, picking up key skills and abilities along the way. I gained vast experience in customer service, dealing with members of the public from all ages and backgrounds and catering to their needs. I was responsible for both my own personal development and the training of others, having trained several members of new staff, which demonstrated my coaching and communication skills. My role as an area leader was to be an expert, coach, teacher and role model; demonstrating all the correct procedures in order to hit the stores' targets and expectations. In this role I also learned cash and safe management, and I was frequently trusted with the safe keys. This job provided me with experience I will utilise for life, and was a solid foundation as a starting point in my working life.
