Design, layout and production on various daily news sections including: Business & Technology, Money and Investing, World News, Sports, Greater New York, and National news. Worked closely with teams of photo editors, Graphics editors, and cartographers to create and modify all forms of information into presentation solutions for print and web. Assign and conceptualize illustrations for weekly features, columns and occasional special sections for both print and online. Coordinated and advised on breaking news layouts and graphics for Business and Technology section. Train and mentor junior designers and graphics editors in news workflows and editorial problem solving. Resourceful, creative, and disciplined under fast paced, daily deadlines for a world-wide audience in the millions producing section fronts and inside pages. Conceived and worked on the team that created a browser-based scheduling and pre-flight program that handled all graphics and maps for all sections of the print paper and online. Played a major role in the roll-out of the Hermes publishing system including training and maintaining best practices.
